Job Description
RIGHTFULLY SEWN MISSION STATEMENT:
Rightfully Sewn provides seamstress training for women so they can thrive in a specialized workforce that will reestablish Kansas City as an epicenter of garment manufacturing, while at the same time, propel Kansas City fashion designers to market so they can supply the burgeoning demand for high-quality, American-produced garments.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Rightfully Sewn is looking to expand our team with contractual teachers to cover public sewing and fashion design classes in the evenings and weekends. These would be one-on-one classes, basic sewing classes, and any specialty that the teacher has experience with. This position reports to the Vice President of External Affairs.

COMPENSATION:
Pay is $25/hour

REQUIREMENTS:
• 5 years of teaching experience as a minimum
• 5 years of sewing experience as a minimum
• Evening and weekend availability
• Pattern-making skills are a plus but not required
